1. Send us an e-mail info@costaricantreasures.com  with your request or fill in our reservation form and we will get back to you within the next 24 hours). Don’t forget to mention the dates that you will be travelling and the number of people, if there are children their ages and also points and activities of interest. We will check on availability and contact you with the results.
2. If there is something you are not clear about, feel free to email us .If everything is clear and you want to proceed with reservations we will ask you to print out, fill in, and fax us a Signed Credit Card Form with a copy of the credit card front and back and the copy of your license. This form is a $50, 00 dollar deposit guarantee and it will not be charged to your card unless you cancel the reservation.
3. At this point your reservations will be done and we will confirm within 48 hours, and will also specify the deadline for payment. Hotels in Costa Rica require prepayment from all booking companies in order to guarantee all reservations; therefore, we will request payment from you at least one month before trip date. For super-high season reservations (Christmas Holidays, Easter week) we will respect the individual hotel payment policies, which mean we may request payment sooner. For reservations made less than a month before trip date, payment will be required according to the payment policies of the hotels, car rentals and tours after the confirmation of the reservation.
4. Payment can be made by credit card, Wire Transfer or by check (mail). A 3 % discount can be made if payment is done with check. Expenses for mailing checks and wire transfers commissions are not covered by Costa Rican Treasures.

Once we have collected payment for total amount we will send confirmation vouchers by mail or by fax.

Deposit:

$50, 00 non-refundable deposit is required in order to begin making reservations. Bookings including travel dates from Dec 16 to Jan 10 and for Easter week require payment in full within 7 days of confirmation and are non-refundable.

Final Payment:

Excluding the particular dates mention above, final payment is due 30 days prior to departure. Bookings confirmed within 30 days of departure require payment in full within 5 working days.

Payment Policy:

Check, Credit Card authorization or Wire Transfer must be received by full payment deadline.
Checks will not be accepted for late bookings. Bookings including travel dates from Dec 16 to Jan 10 and for Easter week require payment in full within 7 days of confirmation. If the deadline is not met, all reservations will be cancelled as we must maintain our relationship with our suppliers. Checks should be made payable to "Costa Rican Treasures Travel Service".

All penalty fees are applicable above and beyond any air ticket cost. Cancellations must be received in writing. No refunds will be made for unused travel services, nor is the price or value exchangeable for alternative services.

Late bookings:

Costa Rican Treasures Travel Service does take late bookings but they should be paid as soon as the reservations are confirmed.

Rates subject to change without notice:

Rates are subject to change without notice since our purveyors may vary conditions and/or end special rates at any moment.

Insurance:

We recommend that travellers purchase short-term travel insurance covering baggage loss, accident/life and trip cancellations. This is available through many travel agencies and through leading insurance companies.   

Schedule Changes and Delays:

All travel itineraries are based on the best information available at the time of confirmation. Due to the nature of international travel changes to schedules and itineraries may be necessary and may also prevent some of the scheduled activities to be completed. NO REFUNDS CAN BE GIVEN FOR SUCH ELIMINATION. We do not accept economic and civil responsibilities for losses or accidental expenses due to changes or delays in airline or hotel overbooking, defaults, weather, strikes, sickness, war, riots, theft, acts of nature, vandalism, medical and hospitalization expenses or any other causes not within the power of Costa Rican Treasures Travel Service. All such losses or expenses are the responsibility and are assumed by the traveller.

Responsibility:

All travel documents and vouchers issued by Costa Rican Treasures Travel Service and its agents are subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier, to the laws of their countries, and to international conventions between countries. The traveller agrees that Costa Rican Treasures Travel Service, its agents, affiliates and employees, shall not be liable for any damages and losses incurred, or any other causes not within the power of Costa Rican Treasures Travel Service.
We do not accept economic and civil responsibilities for losses or accidental expenses due to hotel overbooking, defaults, weather, strikes, sickness, war, riots, theft, acts of nature, vandalism, medical and hospitalization expenses or any other causes not within the power of Costa Rican Treasures Travel Service. All such losses or expenses are the responsibility and are assumed by the traveller. All participants expressly wave any and all rights which one may have against Costa Rican Treasures Travel Service,  its agents, officers, or employees caused by the negligence of such persons in connection with foregoing. Under no circumstance is Costa Rican Treasures Travel Service to be construed as a carrier or common carrier under contract for safe passage of the traveller or for luggage and/or belongings.
By enrolling in and tendering payment for any and all services participants agree to accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions on this Web Site. No other person other than an officer of Costa Rican Treasures  Travel Service, by document in writing, is authorized to waive or alter any condition with the foregoing.
